Have a Question about Funding or Finance?

We have put together this frequently asked questions page for parents regarding all aspects of funding, finance and payments involving parents. We hope this helps.

Kids Club FAQs

How do I pay for Kids Club?

Payment for Breakfast and Tea Club is currently payment in arrears. Invoices are being issued weekly for the time being.

You will receive your invoice by email and you will be able to view your outstanding balance on your Enrolmy account. Payment terms are 14 days.

When you pay your invoice, please be aware that it can take up to five working days for the funds to be received, reconciled and appear on your Enrolmy account. Your Enrolmy account may not reflect your payment until the funds have been reconciled, which happens once a week.

If it has been over a week and your balance is still outstanding on Enrolmy, please contact the school office who will do their best to look into it for you. This occasionally happens if there are synchronisation errors.

Can I use Salary Sacrifice Schemes, Voucher Schemes or Tax Free Childcare?

Yes. All these schemes can be used to contribute/cover the cost of wraparound childcare (Breakfast and Tea Club sessions, or Holiday Club).

These can NOT be used to contribute towards school trips, food costs or independent after school clubs such as Clubs Complete/ Funtastic Gymnastics etc. in our school.

The process of paying using these schemes is exactly the same as before Kids Club became part of school. Please continue to use these schemes just as you did when Kids Club was separate from school. There is sometimes a delay of up to a week, before the vouchers appear on your Enrolmy account.

When selecting your provider for the Tax Free Childcare service, please select ALL SAINTS FIRST SCHOOL.

Nursery Funding

Do I need to pay for my child to attend Nursery?

 Maybe.

All Nursery children are entitled to 15 universal free hours of school for 38 weeks per year (Term time only). These are allocated to morning sessions from Monday to Friday.

Eligible parents are entitled to an additional 15 free hours (called Extended Hours) which are used in the afternoon from Monday to Friday for 38 weeks per year (Term time only).

In our school, this is delivered as 6 hours of Nursery provision each day.

Parents who are not eligible for the Extended Hours can choose to pay for afternoon sessions.

Further Information about the 30 hours childcare funding can be found in our Parents Guide to 30 hours childcare leaflet … Booklet 30 hour Criteria.

If I don't use all the hours I am entitled to, can I use them elsewhere?

Yes.

If you don't use your full entitlement in our Nursery, you can use them elsewhere.

Unused hours can be used in another setting or can be allocated to Kids Club sessions  (Breakfast or Tea Club) during term time only.

The Office team have a record of your child's sessions and allocate these accordingly behind the scenes. There is no action from parents other than notifying the Office Team should there be any changes to session times.

Please Note - These hours are per child and not per setting. If your child is using some funding at All Saints and some with another childcare provider, we will be notified that your hours are already allocated elsewhere. The school will only be notified of this the term after your hours have been claimed.  Therefore, parents who claim for more than 30 hours in multiple settings will be billed for any sessions which take the weekly entitlement over 30 hours.

It is also important that parents renew their eligibility code when prompted by the government website. Failure to do so will result in you being charged for the nursery sessions used.

Free School Meals and Pupil Premium

Is my child entitled to Free School Meals?

Free School Meals is an income related benefit, which allows children of all ages to access a daily free school meal, as well as other benefits, such as reduced uniform costs, residential visit subsidies etc.

This is different to Universal Free School Meals, which is an entitlement to a free meal in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 only.

Your child may be entitled to Free School Meals if you are entitled to any of the following:

  • Income Support
  • Income Based Job Seekers Allowance.
  • Income Related Employment and Support Allowance. P
  • Eligible for Child Tax Credit but not Working Tax Credit and the household income (as used by HMRC to assess tax credits) is not more that £16,190.
  • In receipt of the 4 week run on of working tax credit
  • Universal credit (provided you have an annual net earned household income of no more than £7,400)

This list is not exhaustive - check here for a complete list.

Registering for Free School Meals will also allow you to access extra benefits like Free Uniform Vouchers.

How do I check to see if my child can have Free School Meals?

To check your eligibility, use the online checker, available here.

If you are struggling, we can do this for you with your permission. Please contact the school office.

Am I entitled to money if my child is Pupil Premium?

Your child may be eligible for PP if:

  • Your child has been looked after under Local Authority care for more than one day
  • Your child is from a service family who receives a child pension from the Ministry of Defence
  • you receive certain benefits and are therefore entitled to free school meals

If your child is Pupil Premium, money is allocated to the school to ensure all groups of children progress, attain and achieve well. It is not ringfenced for individual children.

Pupil premium funding is primarily used to support children to access interventions.

However, in our school all pupil premium children are offered financial support for residential trips, and if a pupil premium child does not access interventions, they are offered an enrichment activity e.g. extra curricular sessions.
